Project Citizen
I applaud the middle school students at Richard E. Byrd public school, in Chicago, on their hard work and understanding of their project citizen. After hearing what our project included I was excited as well as anticipating all of the work ahead of us. I think that it is great that the student fought for what they wanted and I think it shows great initiative. I actually wish that more young people would be as enthused about improving their communities.

Perfect Canididate

My candidates political ideal would be a democratic. She would be a feminist as well as an extreme liberal. She would be beautiful as well as intelligent and push her way through to the top, not by her looks but with her intelligence. She would help out the lower income individuals who prove to be actually doing something with themselves. She would give paid sick days and some sort of family leave for emergencies. She would vigorly invest in childhood education as well as higher education. and she would NOT support the pointless war. Her name is Karamel Deanne Johnson.:-)

Ugh...
I feel, personally that it is a rule that as they young Caucasian male said "It will be hard to enforce". College life is crazy! Drugs, sex, alcohol, parties, its all apart of the realm of college life. College for the most part is the first time your out on your own with FREEDOM, and your prone to trying things. With that being said, this bylaw I'm sure was done with the intent of providing a comfortable environment to all of the universities students. I don't quite believe that it is a imposion on freedom of speech at all. As a matter of fact, it is an imposition on others rights. There is a line that should be drawn, and that is between two roommates. You and your roommate are to share, and between the two of you come to some common grounds on your room. I don't think that the rule is offensive but I personally feel that that's something that should be personally done between two roommates, a contract between the two of them.

um...
I feel that every situaion is circumstantial. I feel that ifa crime is extremly heinous then it would justify death. I am very agreeing though that you should not be the judge of when it is a persons time to die. I also, think that a person should sit in jail and ponder on what they did for the rest of thier life. I feel like there should be categories for crimes and thier penalties. All crimes are circumstantial and thier penalties should be based on that.

I do feel that former President Carter has a point in the racism in the media. People are alwasy going to have haters but president Obama has a few more than normal. Everything that he does is reported by the media as negative. Ex. The time when President Obama supposedly looked at a ladys behind when in all actuality he was just helping a woman up the steps. Also, President Obama is always disrespected, to say that he won the right to be called president most people and groups refer to him as Obama. The Kanye West story was just trifling. He was rude and "made her uncomfortable" with his tirany. The media is being very biased about the situation but everyone has thier opinion. I think he spoke his mind(wrong place, wrong time) and that he is getting what he deserves.

Obama's Speech...
I personally cannot speak for other American students but my view on education actually stayed the same. Obama's objective was that he wants the youth of today to really buckle down in school so that we can make for a better future. I feel that I got this memo a long time, seeing as i've put up with the AP curriculum and worked harder than say our regular students. I feel that that speech was something that I have heard plenty of times before from parents and teachers, because I am not in the relm of average students. I am going to go out on a limb though and say that if i were a student who did not care about my education, because it was not forced upon me, I would have probably appreciated the speech.
